Joseph Georg Franz Maximilian de la Raparlier wurde am 19. November 1797 in Löwen geboren. Er war Postbeamter im Thurn-und-Taxis-Dienst, heiratete 1817 in Frankfurt Catharina Elisabeth Häuser und starb dort am 4. April 1862.
Joseph Georg Franz Maximilian de la Raparlier was born in Löwen (Leuven) Netherlands on 19 November 1797, the legitimate son of Georg Maximilian de la Raparlier, the Head Postmaster in Leuven, and Mrs. Catharina neé Nadouls (other spellings are given for this name). By 1817, he was living in Frankfurt, working as a Royal Thun and Taxis Head Post Office Secretary. That year he married Catharina Elisabeth Häuser, the daughter of the deceased Royal Thurn and Taxis Head Post Stable Master, Joseph Martin Häuser and his widow Mrs. Marie Elisabetha neé Held, who had remarried a Mr. Saalmüller. The wedding took place in the Imperial Cathedral of St. Bartholomew (Kaiserdom Sankt Bartholomäus), which by 1803 was owned by the city of Frankfurt, but used for Catholic worship services. It is interesting that the marriage took place here, as Joseph Georg was Catholic and Catharina Elisabetha was Lutheran. By August of 1829, Joseph Georg had been promoted to Head Post Office Inspector and he finally applied for formal citizenship in the city of Frankfurt, although he had lived there well over a decade. At the time of his application, he and Catharina Elisabeth had three sons: Johann Christoph Adam August Gustav, born 2. May 1818 or 1819; Johannes Adelbert Friedrich, born 11 March 1824; and Peter Franz Joseph Oscar, born 2. August 1825. He died on 4 April 1862 at the age of 65.
